Actually, Rachel Maddow played Gingrich's ad for a law firm touting advanced decisions, she played Limbaugh doing the same shilling for a legal firm started by Dick Armey, and she showed Palin's declaration that April 16, 2008 was "Healthcare Decision Day." Once people realize that this HC plan would have covered a counseling session to set up a living will but will now have to pay out of pocket, I doubt they'll be thanking the GOP for their lies and distortions.

Turns out, Rush did at least one voiceover ad last year for legalzoom.com, for which he promoted that the website can help people to create legal documents, such as living wills. (Yes, living wills and end-of-life directives are synonymous.)

Last weekend, Newt Gingrich appeared on ABC's This Week, where he adamantly defended Sarah Palin's "death panel" comments from last week. Evidently, he had forgotten that he recently wrote a blog entry for the Washington Post in which he openly praised end-of-life practices through community-wide advance care directives, and he acknowledged the tens of billions of dollars per year that Medicare could save if the majority of patients had end-of-life directives in place.

Enter Sarah Palin. We've all heard about/read her facebook soapbox statements from last week and today, comparing the formerly proposed Medicare coverage of end-of-life consultations to "death panels" and selective euthanasia. Well, apparently Ms. Hypocriteliar was for end-of-life directives before she was against them. As Governor of Alaska, she proclaimed that April 16, 2008 was to be recognized as "Healthcare Decisions Day" in Alaska, which was enacted for the sole purpose of promoting the importance of end-of-life discussions between Alaskan citizens and their doctors/lawyers. As a further insult to thinking people who've seen her recent lies for what they are, her Healthcare Decisions Day proclamation has recently been removed from her website, which proves that her recent statements are entirely political in nature, and that she's intentionally lying and fear-mongering.

It's a sad, sad commentary on the state of the Republican party when three of its current 'leaders' (also sad) have been exposed within the past week for flip-flopping on the issue of end-of-life directives/living wills and for spreading malicious lies that they absolutely know are untrue, and have each, in fact, publicly endorsed within the past year.

So who was quoted as stating 0bamacare entailed "Selective Euthanasia"? Was it Gingrich, Limbaugh or Palin? It must be one of them since you have it in quotes. I could not find any proof to any of them making that claim.

Palin made multiple claims, via her facebook soapbox, that the health care reform legislation promotes death panels and selective community standards ("judgment of their 'level of productivity in society'") to decide who will receive medical care, and from whom it will be withheld. Euthanasia is the act or practice of allowing a hopelessly sick or injured patient to die by taking less than complete medical measures to prolong life. Thus, she claimed that the health care legislation promotes "death panels" and "selective euthanasia." Both Rush Limbaugh and Newt Gingrich are on record backing up Palin's claims.

The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s "death panel" so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their "level of productivity in society," whether they are worthy of health care.

That dubious honor seems to belong to Ms. Betsy McCoughey, who has a history of being dishonest. Another one of the GOP smear machine. Maybe your answer is in one of these links.

Is this hospital committing euthanasia?

Quote:
More than 20 percent of all Medicare spending occurs in the last two months of life. Gundersen Lutheran Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin has developed a successful end-of-life, best practice that combines: 1) community-wide advance care planning, where 90 percent of patients have advance directives; 2) hospice and palliative care; and 3) coordination of services through an electronic medical record. The Gundersen approach empowers patients and families to control and direct their care. The Dartmouth Health Atlas has documented that Gundersen delivers care at a 30 percent lower rate than the national average ($18,359 versus $25,860). If Gundersen's approach was used to care for the approximately 4.5 million Medicare beneficiaries who die every year, Medicare could save more than $33 billion a year.

I am anti-socialist.
I abhor socialism, the scheme to rob people of their inalienable rights to life, liberty and private property ownership.
I abhor socialists, who think they're the moral pinnacle because they rob St. Peter to pay St. Paul.
I think that they are so self deluded, that they don't dare read the organic documents that founded the governments of these united States. Because if they did, they would have to denounce themselves as enemies of the people of the U.S.A.

Here's one clue:
Amendment V, US Constitution 1789
... nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

From the Communist manifesto: "In this sense, the theory of the Communists may be summed up in the single sentence: Abolition of private property."

PRIVATE PROPERTY - "As protected from being taken for public uses, is such property as belongs absolutely to an individual, and of which he has the exclusive right of disposition. Property of a specific, fixed and tangible nature, capable of being in possession and transmitted to another, such as houses, lands, and chattels."
- - - Black's Law dictionary, sixth ed., p.1217
Since 1935, and the institution of "voluntary" national socialism, Americans have surrendered their birthright to absolutely own private property, and only hold qualified ownership of estate.

Consider that if one fails to pay his socialist taxes, the government takes his property and does not pay just compensation.

So either the property in question is NOT private property, or the government no longer obeys the FIFTH amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

The simplest explanation is that no one owns private property in this socialist paradise.

SOCIALISM - A political and economic theory advocating collective ownership of the means of production and control of distribution. It is based upon the belief that all, while contributing to the good of the community, are equally entitled to the care and protection which the community can provide.
--- Webster's dictionary

And it is a very very short step to communism, and the complete abolishment of private property rights of the individual.

COMMUNISM - the ownership of property, or means of production, distribution and supply, by the whole of a classless society, with wealth shared on the principle of 'to each according to his need', each yielding fully 'according to his ability'.
- - - Webster's Dictionary.

If collective ownership is what you want, that's your choice, but do not presume to force it upon others, or perpetrate a fraud to get their consent.

Socialists are pirates - the bane of all mankind.

Nice job finding this, jojajn. This was on Rachel Maddow last night. I am
stunned that people can possibly find this level of hypocrisy and deceit acceptable. That is the greatest destroyer of America, not a president who has only been in office for seven months. I'd be embarrassed to admit that I'd been made a fool by Gingrich, Limbaugh and Palin. Especially Limbaugh; you're listening for years to a guy and agreeing, then discover that he was stoned to the max and simply rambling on during that period of time.

So, you have a link to those quotes, because I can't find them on Palin's facebook page:

There is not even the word "euthanasia" in the above link, much less "selective euthanasia."
