Despite Rush Limbaugh's rampage against the formerly (sigh) proposed Medicare coverage for end-of-life directives, he evidently doesn't even believe his own rhetoric. Either that, or he's an enormous hypocrite and liar, who will do anything for a buck. Turns out, Rush did at least one voiceover ad last year for legalzoom.com, for which he promoted that the website can help people to create legal documents, such as living wills. (Yes, living wills and end-of-life directives are synonymous.)

Last weekend, Newt Gingrich appeared on ABC's This Week, where he adamantly defended Sarah Palin's "death panel" comments from last week. Evidently, he had forgotten that he recently wrote a blog entry for the Washington Post in which he openly praised end-of-life practices through community-wide advance care directives, and he acknowledged the tens of billions of dollars per year that Medicare could save if the majority of patients had end-of-life directives in place.

Enter Sarah Palin. We've all heard about/read her facebook soapbox statements from last week and today, comparing the formerly proposed Medicare coverage of end-of-life consultations to "death panels" and selective euthanasia. Well, apparently Ms. Hypocriteliar was for end-of-life directives before she was against them. As Governor of Alaska, she proclaimed that April 16, 2008 was to be recognized as "Healthcare Decisions Day" in Alaska, which was enacted for the sole purpose of promoting the importance of end-of-life discussions between Alaskan citizens and their doctors/lawyers. As a further insult to thinking people who've seen her recent lies for what they are, her Healthcare Decisions Day proclamation has recently been removed from her website, which proves that her recent statements are entirely political in nature, and that she's intentionally lying and fear-mongering.

It's a sad, sad commentary on the state of the Republican party when three of its current 'leaders' (also sad) have been exposed within the past week for flip-flopping on the issue of end-of-life directives/living wills and for spreading malicious lies that they absolutely know are untrue, and have each, in fact, publicly endorsed within the past year.

Like you said, Limbaugh, Beck and Hannity will do ANYTHING for a buck because they have no scruples. I don't know if you know this but Hannity has a voiceover advertisement promoting GM, the evil government owned company.

Well, let me tell you the wonders of the current GOVERNMENT Medicare system. A 73 year old woman is FULLY COVERED. But she can't find a decent doctor who will accept the government mandated peanuts paid. And when she gets to the "bargain basement" doctor, he spends his time staring at his laptop screen, and then gives her a prescription - to shut her up. No examination - no checking her painful joints - just stares at his screen.
I guess she's one of those whose end-of-life is not worthy of due diligence and her complaints that the prescriptions make her ill fall on deaf ears.
She's so despondent from her glorious full coverage, that she's ready to die, because she can't endure the pain anymore.
Oh, and let's not forget the dental care she can get FREE!
Oh, right, no dentist will take her, either.
OUCH.
But wait, the NEW reformed health care system will hire thousands and thousands of new bureaucrats and churn out reams of rules and regulations that will MAKE those greedy physicians work for less and less - or else!
And let's not have tort reform - gawd forbid that the legal profession has its rice bowl broken.
Oh, let's earmark some money for minority counseling and special interest groups. Acorn needs more funding...

Don't worry...
Any one who objects to the trillions in debt and loss of liberty will be declared INSANE, VIOLENT, EXTREMIST.

Because EVERYONE knows that to complain about the socialist paradise means you are not in your right mind.

Seems that not only did he not read the linked articles, but he didn't even read the OP, since his response had nothing to do with what I wrote.

Figures...

at least you referred to them as articles, because that was all they were. Absolutely not authentic reference material. Why do people even post a link to a blog? I can write one that says I'm the king of the world and then I'll post a view saying I agree with myself.. incredible

Seriously, what the h*ll are you blabbering about? Did you even read the OP?

No, my sources were not limited to blogs and "somethingprogress.org." My sources are Rush Limbaugh's own radio advertisement for legalzoom.com, The Rush Limbaugh Show, ABC's show This Week, The Washington Post, Sarah Palin's public statements from her website, as well as her "Healthcare Decisions Day" proclamation from when she was Governor of Alaska and MSNBC.

Furthermore, Limbaugh's public statements and radio advertisement, Gingrich's televised statement and his Washington Post article, and Palin's written statements and Gubernatorial proclamation that I presented in my OP are indisputable facts, not my or anyone else's opinions, as evidenced by my linked sources.

Reading comprehension not your strongsuit? Get a clue.
