You could also argue that if the Israelis wanted peace, they would have it by now.

I don't understand why we support Israel to the extent that we do. They can take care of themselves. They make their own decisions on what it is okay to do to fellow human beings anyway.

Of course, I also doubt that anyone who didn't support Israel could be elected President in this country.

Yasser Arafat skim the millions of dollars supplied in Palestinian aid by the numerous countries of the world and played Israel as the reason they were poor and destitute. The IMF had estimated his personal wealth at $900 million in 2003, his own finance committee estimated it well over a billion. It was the perfect bilking of a country while blaming a "straw man", financing his own hate machine while getting filthy rich. What the Palestinians need to do is take a look where their own country is and fix it from the inside rather then continuing to play the victim, hate their concocted oppressor, and be victimized by their leaders.

I don't endorse what Israel does in response to terrorist attacks, but I understand if people are shooting rockets into your country and blowing themselves up in the middle of your people you need to defend yourself.
