The "prosperity gospel" goes like this:

“Any time a worried thought about money pops up in your mind,” [Minister] Savelle continued, “the next thing you do is sow”: drop money, like seeds, in “good ground” like the preachers’ ministries. “Stop worrying, start sowing,” he added, his voice rising. “That’s God’s stimulus package for you.” At that, hundreds streamed down the aisles to the stage, laying envelopes, cash and coins on the carpeted steps.

And the best part is it that this ministry only gives to charity a "minimum of 10 percent," of what it takes in, says the Pastor's daughter

So any C-D'ers who want to send me money, DM me. And I promise God will reward you 20-fold--at least! Really!! I mean it!!! I'm in the know because God told me!!

Love the part in Rattle and Hum when Bono says, "The God I worship doesn't need cash, mister."

That would be a great racket if you had the amoral nerve to do it. If you could convince yourself it was right or good.

There's a sucker born every minute, and a sociopath every 10 to take their money.

It's amazing how stupid people get around things that deal with religion. I think a great number of people would be smarter in life if they realized just because some one says something doesn't mean it's true, and the rule doesn't go out the window if they say they believe in a similar deity as you.

A friend's grandmother in Charlotte used to call it the "Pass the Loot" club.

I really miss Tammy Faye.

Don't forget Joel Osteen.

Anyone who preaches the Gospel of Prosperity preaches heresy.
