The problem with the government option is that it was seen as a power grab. It was seen as a way for the government to exercise more control over the economy and the people. Once that camel gets its nose under the tent its all over. It was a 'foot in the door' to a government take over. This country is not willing to go down the road to socialism with Obama.

The problems in the health care industry can be solved without the government taking over health care. Maybe now we can get that done.

I doubt anything will happen as long as Americans remain some of the dumbest people on this entire planet.

One thing will happen, lobbyists will continue paying off Repugs and blue dog Democrats to kill health care reform

We saw this before in the run-up to Iraq re: Weapons of Mass Destruction.

One "source" posts a lie (false story) and the rest run with it, citing each other to promote (or try) a veil of credibility.

In the end, it's still a lie.

I agree to everything you stated except you left out the other democrats. They are all on the take, make no mistake this whole reform was meant to fail anyway. But it doesn't really matter whether it fails now or not because our health care delivery system is failing and will continue to do so. This hot potato isn't going anywhere.
