Word is out about a memo sent from American Petroleum Institute to oil companies asking that they recruit their employees to contact the Senate in opposition in house passed version of the climate bill. American Petroleum has spent 3.7 million on lobbying this year.
I am not well versed on this bill to talk about it intelligently, but this is another example of big business attempting to circumvent the political process by using pawns.

How is that different from George Soros funding every left wing orgainization in the country?

Brrrrr, the Evil Oil Empire Strikes Back.
And like the other poster...how is this any different than George Soros? I bet anything Soros does is way more under the table than the oil industry, which happens to be one of the most heavily regulated industries in the world.

Are you joking! Corporations have gotten progressively more powerful and wealthy over the years. They can literally buy legislation that affects our lives (most often not for the better), and all you think about is riling up a partisan fight!
While you are looking the other way for a low down fight with people who don’t exactly share your philosophy, these corporations are replacing our democracy. Soon they, not us, will call all the shots and if we are lucky, we can work for them for minimum wage!

It's also an example of what acknowledged whores politicians are.

I don't know. I really don't know much about soros. Is he funding this agencies for some business purpose or is it just ideology? If it is for a business purpose then I would have to say that it is no different.
Wait a minute, didnt Nancy and Harry promise you all that they would take down those big bad oil companies????
Guess they kinda forgot about that promise in 2 1/2 years of total control.
