Its been going on in the political arena since the days of Kennedy, Nixon and the dawn of television politics.

But, its that selling (of the image & brand) that has won & lost elections.
A grandfatherly warhorse and a airhead with a gun, wasn't quite the image many thought should be in the white house.
(we are talking branding here, not political ideology, and that was the image projected)
