I'd be interested to see how these loan applications got processed and who's funding them.

GMAC now owned by the federal government, so is it the taxpayers loaning money to individuals to buy cars using the imaginary "$4500" as a down payment on the application as you said, similar to the housing applications?

Comparing Canada and the US is silly. Canada's government and population is much smaller and easier to manage. Still it's financial problems relating to health care abound. Now considering the magnitude of our government, can you see it working? We have more bureaucrats hiding in a closet playing with themselves at any given time than you have citizens. It'll be like herding cats.

Contrary to what many folks seem to believe, many of us against this aren't against some sort of nationalized health care but we already know from past experience the bureaucracy will screw it up royally. In short, we just don't trust the folks in DC. We don't believe they possess the skills needed. Whenever anyone thinks of a single word to describe the business skills of our government, the word "Incompetent" comes to the front.

Well said and exactly right. If the cost can be tripled or more the Fed will find a way to do it.
Just look at the pork that gets added to the defence budget...

Hundreds of dealers have stopped the cash for clunkers program due not getting paid....

The government has proven not being capable of running a business...but how could we have thought anything else...what did Obama run in his life?

Writing a book, probable not by him self!

A presidencial campaign run by hundreds of others....

The main thing Obama is great at is having bad associations, and that isn't making you a good business man!

You just don't know when to stop and just except that you are clueless when it comes to certain things. Your tax refund scenerio is a no brainer considering the detailed implementation that went into the coding of the software. But good try though pulling that one out.

Continue to give folks the impression that you know what your talking about. Cute, really cute.
