I don't give the Administration that much credit. I think it's more of a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. However, if it was an intentional miscue to gauge blowback, they certainly got their answer.

Against whom is she pushing back? Conservatives applauded the administration's retreat on the public option. The flack they got was from the left wing of their own party. So this is not a "push back". It's a surrender to the loons on their left flank. And the loons will take the whole thing down with them.
