It doesn't mean that you can chase someone down the street and shoot them in the back.

In this specific Florida case:

Quote:
Harper came over to the car and entered it but was pulled away by Frye, his friend. Harper, however, escaped Frye’s grasp and reentered the vehicle on the driver’s side. Hair, who held a permit to carry a concealed weapon, had a handgun on his seat. Hair and Harper “tussled” within the interior of the vehicle. Frye tried to pull Harper from the vehicle again but Harper was shot and killed by Hair. According to Hair, he was attempting to strike Harper with the handgun when it discharged.

While Harper may have been exiting the vehicle at the time of the shooting, the action was involuntary if it occurred at all. The physical evidence was clear that Harper was still inside the vehicle when he was shot. The statute makes no exception from the immunity when the victim is in retreat at the time the defensive force is employed

Like I said, some people need to be on meds. I guess killing someone because they robbed you falls pretty low on your scale of logical behavior.

I'm a real big proponent of defending my life and property. I don't care if they turned their back on me if they've already done the crime. Look at Joe Horn in Texas who shot 2 guys robbing his neighbor's house. Both were running away and ole Joe dropped to the prone position and took em out while they were running away. Now that's justice. Nobody will be breaking into ANY houses on Joe's street anymore. God bless him and the Texas laws for citizen justice.

LOL, it never fails that some of you will take something to the extreme. How do you do that? It's so illogical it's ridiculous. Tell me something, where does it say ANYWHERE & where did I say that criminals need to be protected? I dare you to find it.

As we head deeper and deeper into the depression, the wild, wild west is becoming more and more the new normal.

What should we do? Invite them in to look at everything else you have for them to take? How pathetic.

unbelieveable the sympathy for thug criminals. Guess what If you shoot them and kill him no one else will get held up at gun point by that thug. No innocent moms, dads, grandfathers, grandmothers, teenagers, hard working store owners.

In your scenerio of letting them get away more innocent people are put at risk.
