Neither Gays nor anyone else have any say in the matter of what is preached at the pulpit. Its a fact, churches exist in part to warn their adherents to stay away from what they believe to be evil and to prescribe to tenets that embody what they believe to be righteous--even if its uncomfortable for some to hear.

However if you feel that strongly about it, I suggest you put together a coalition of like minded people and organizations and start a campaign to repeal freedom of speech.

Good Luck with that.

Tell that to the people in Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Iowa, Sweden, Norway, The Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, South Africa, and Canada. The definition of marriage has changed in those places.

And dictionaries are beginning to change their definitions as well:

Great story on Ted Olson and how he became interested in arguing the case for same-sex marriage:

He sounds very confident about winning.

Yes, unfortunately many have successfully sought to bastardize an institution they have no business touching. Correct.

But the real definition of Marriage still hasnt changed.

That's fine. In your religion and in your mind, you can believe whatever you want.

That has nothing to do with Ted Olson's optimism about this case.

We seem to disagree.

Say, would you like to put it to a vote?

No, I'm just talking about the laws as they are on the books. Marriage laws have obviously changed in some places. Same-sex marriages in those places are as legitimate in the eyes of the law as opposite-sex marriages.

Civil marriage licenses are granted in those places without regard to the approval or disapproval of the churches.

Can't argue with this.
