What wont they do to have things their way?
Kennedy wants to change a state law in order to put, I suppose, a shadow of himself in the senate for a vote, rather than wait for a special election and risk getting a republican or an Independent in his place.
They are also discussing a "Nuclear Option" in order to avoid a filibuster concerning health care.
If you all don't have the votes you need, what does that tell you?

The worst thing about Kennedy is that he pushed in 2004 to keep the governor then, Romney, from appointing Jon Carry's predecessor for obvious reasons, (Romney's political leanings) and now he wants to change it back so the gov, a Democrat, can appoint another Dem to serve in the interim before the election to keep the 60 seats in the Senate. If this doesn't expose old partisan Kennedy I don't know what would.

I hate to get on his case in his ill physical state but he is asking for it.
The powerful can change the laws so THEIR needs are suited. They could care less that the people may want to VOTE on who is representing them.
Uh...that's what lawmakers do. That you don't agree with certain changes doesn't make it disgraceful.
It does when he is not representing the people who voted him in. If the law says a special election is needed then it is needed for a reason.
What is the point of our laws then?
I am not just thinking from my point of view. I would say the same for any corrupt congress member who does this.
Oh yeah, gerrymandering is a joke. It probably is one of least thought of but most negatively influential actions that takes place in Government.
Im trying to look big picture here.
