...then I come across something like this and it all makes sense.

Are you familiar with Alexa?
It's a site that tells you stats about different web sites...

Here's a list of websites visitors to C-D brought up on Alexa as being of interest to us based on their research and our web habits.

http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/city-data.com

THE LIST:
1. Google...no problem there la dee dee
2. Uncle Boogers Bumper Dumper

By the way here's the link:
bumperdumper.com - Traffic Details from Alexa

Apparently Uncle Booger would fit right in with this little crowd we have here. lol.

you do realize there are a lot of other sections besides politics right?

Hit that little forum jump thing in the bottom right corner and escape from here every now and then. It'll do most of the people in here a lot of good.

that was very odd, especially when it turns out they were selling real estate in the Houston area.

Data from Alexa is based on data gathered through the Alexa toolbar which can make it unreliable. For starters you have a small and narrow demographic that is going to have it installed.

No, not at all. City Data is very liberal. Actually there are only about 25% of Americans that call themselves Liberal and the scale is obviously liberal in this Political category. There are many radical liberals in here.

Netroots Nation is behind alot of the ultra liberal posts and bullying with propaganda. They were the ones spreading the flag@whitehous address all over here. Basically what that is, is the same people that used the internet to help Obama get elected, they now have a new mission to bully people on internet blogs and forums to push the WH's agenda.

Not as many liberals as I would like to see. Most of these threads are created by right wing crybabies wanting their bottle back.

There are also a great deal of the very young and politically inexperienced.
Then, there's the out-of-country traffic that comes into C-D.

My stats for links posted last year were overwhelmingly visited or referenced by out-of-country visitorship, directly from C-D.

C-D, I feel, in the political genre, will never reflect the overall opinion of the nation as a whole. There are far too many here who dwell in the extreme, either left or right, and given that the extremes in this nation only represents about 9% of the total overall population .. C-D could never be considered a serious indicator of anything, other than just a spot of personal opinions from a very select few.

The political threads are indeed somewhat entertaining however ....
