[quote=sanrene;10387544Excellent question. Another is - can you imagine what the press would have done to a republican president?
[/QUOTE]

Apparently, the press did nothing to a repubican president, as you have never heard of this before:

More Czars than the Romanovs « An American Idiot

Every President since Nixon has used Czars to push through some policy or agenda.
As I contemplated my thesis today, it occurred to me that criticizing President Obama for something Roosevelt, Nixon, Carter, Reagan, Bush I, Clinton, and Bush II all did would be both hypocritical and overtly partisan.

I agree.

Yes I'd like to hear that too, please enlighten us how this violates the Constitution.

Specialization you say ? Congress has committees for that reason.
These people do not have to act with Congress or even let Congress know what they are doing.

It is an accumulation of power within the Executive branch over which Congress has no power. It is going the opposite way of the transparency Obama promised. It diminshes the power of Congress.
If all only answer to the persident and none answer to Congress, they should have no actual power. I seem to remember the Cabinet and president count, not the Cabinet, President and "czars"...... then the Congree and judiciary.

The czars are an invention of an administration which 1)needs stroking and 2)needs to give out favors and 3)all should be booted out. I would imagine Congress might have the right to do so as there is no precedent for them.

I would keep an eye on that though.

It wasn't too long ago that President Obama wanted WH oversight on the census and wanted the Census Director to report to the WH instead of the Secretary of Commerce. The confirmation though of the Director did say he reports directly to the Secretary of Commerce so that potential power grab did not happen.

It isn't.
Facts are not to persuade those who do not want us to know the truth.
Facts are to expose the LIES inherent in socialism, and the LEFT.

Voluntary charity is a blessing.
Compulsory charity is a curse.

The LEFT wish us to believe that they have the moral high ground when they rob St Peter to pay St Paul.

Now go and read the Constitution. You will see why this is not OK. I don't care if you want to overlook this, it is blatantly against the rules laid down for our country in the Constitution.
Um, all administration's have department heads. All since Nixon have had "czars". And anything they do that makes law requires Congress. Hence...Checks and Balance is fully intact.

It is only "UnConstitutional" if you don't understand the Constitution.

And PLEASE, learn the actual concept of socialism. This throwing around of a term, without understanding what is means is starting to look silly.

The czars are above and beyond the dept heads. No other president has had so many, there is no comparison.
