It appears there was some question as to the qualifications of the "doctor" and of the staff. Hardly a case that could ever be considered mainstream or even minutely approaching the norm.
In fact, it raises the issue of access to safe abortions by qualified staff, and the dangers that can arise if those standards are not met.

No one forced her to have sex in the first place. Don't open your legs if you can't deal with the consequences, and don't kill an innocent life because of your irresponsibility.

That's horrible. But, since this was nearly three years ago, I do have a couple of further questions.
1. Have there ever been any follow-up reports? Was the Dr or other care provider convicted?
2. Why was she having a late term abortion and how late term was it? Because I certainly don't agree anything past about 10-12 weeks should be allowed unless the mother's life is in danger.
Pro 'lifers' keep saying that a fetus is a human life, although they are unable to empirically verify their claim that a fetus is a human life. Laws are supposed to be based on facts and reason. The problem with the arguments of pro 'lifers' is that they are based on emotion and personal biases. While the ruling doesn't prohibit women from getting an abortion, it is based on emotional and personal biases rather than rational thinking.

I assure you my husband is an equal decider, and shares an equal portion of the burden. That was also true back when we were "fornicating."
When did I say females reproduce asexually? Certainly Men need to be responsible, but IMO the Women should bear more of the responsibility because of their actual ability to bring the reproduction into fruition. I never addressed the issue of rape because I assumed the discussion I replied to was in instances of where the act itself was mutual. In instances of rape however, certainly the man should take full responsibility for his coercive unlawfulness.
