Amazing, I've been a disabled Veteran since Vietnam and this is the first I've heard of it. Trying hard to make something of nothing.

Tell that to Democrat Senator Specter.

He is an old coot who will never win reelection in 2010... His ramblings are giving the Dems a bad name. (Keep it up old man!)

Problem is that you may be wrong. Specter was able to get elected District Attorney in Philadelphia as a Republican, he has good pull among Democrats in the Philly area and, the reason he switched is because his base in Montgomery and Delaware counties quit the Republican Party and became Democrats by the hundreds of thousands.

" " = liability in 2010

The only people who vote in presidential 'off years' are seniors... Obama isn't exactly scratching them the right way this summer...

This story is going to grow. Specter will be just one Democrat backing the hearings.

If they can do this to veterans, the average citizen don't have a chance.

It's about the process that goes into making a Living Will, correct?. I didn't read the whole thing but apparently it's not new, it's been around for years and is currently under revision. It's not just veterans who have to preplan for stuff like this, it's everyone.

And you are right, the average citizen doesn't have a chance because the fact is we will all die. We can either plan for it (which is the smart thing to do) or not. The choice is yours.

Okay, it looks like he is wanting to hold hearings on it in an effort to see just what the hell the whole thing is about. I don't think he has stated one way or the other if he is for or against it. But he did state that the guide should be suspended until the hearings were held.
