"The worst thing that can happen to a nation is for half of the people to get the idea they don't have to work because somebody else will work for them, and the other half to get the idea that it does no good to work because they don't get to enjoy the fruit of their labor."

This is correct too. Half of the forces now in Iraq and Afghanistan are privately funded. Millionaires are getting richer by the blood of our soldiers and those mercenaries.

"You don't multiply wealth by dividing it"

Awww...just when I was agreeing with everything this quote said. The corporate millionaires and Neo-cons have from the beginning plotted to become rich and powerful by dividing this nation. First it was Communism, oooo...that one was so scary. Now it's Islam. Wonder what they will think of next?

That's correct. Government cannot give all these corporate millionaires tax breaks without taxing the middle class to death.
This is twice now that people in this thread have tried to use relativism to justify redistribution of wealth.

I oppose both corporate welfare and individual. Now what comment do you want to make?

How about the Constitution? Is that scary? The OP's quote relates specifically to what laid out in the Constitution. You do understand the importance of this document don't you?

I do realize it is important and elastic. The elasticity of the Constitution is its most wonderful quality.

And that elasticity and the procedures for amending the document are clearly laid out in the document itself.

There is a process that needs to be adhered to when adjusting the powers laid out in the document.

If you truely cared about the Constitution, you would support amending it as outlined, not overstepping bounds while presenting some strawman about how its supposed to be flexible.

If you are paying 35% in taxes, you must make over $372,950.00. That salary is MUCH higher than the average American.

In any system, there are going to be some that take advantage. If you think EVERYONE that is unable to afford insurance is a scammer waiting for a handout, you live in a very sad world. Most I know that want hc reform don't have it, cannot afford it, and work.
