Maybe Dr. Donald Ray is biracial. Always possible. But really besides the fact that the OP claimed he was, if he is black, white, biracial or what ever, it doesnt matter. I think he made a great speach.
Wow so the OP really did just inject the word "black" into his thread to get people to come look at it I move that this thread be closed because the OP is _________. All in favor
Black conservatives; the bravest people in America. "Uncle Tom" comments in 3, 2, 1.....
P.S. You wouldn't happen to have a video clip of this would you?
I have had the pleasure of knowing a few black conservatives during my life. They are indeed brave people! They have had to put up with racism in some case only to get stabbed in the back later for the so-called sell-out. If there is one race, one political belief that has been so maligned it would be the conservative black. My hats off to those few!
the founding documents were written "we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness..."
you see, these christian men knew that in writing the bill of rights, they were setting in motion the death certificate of slavery. This is where it ended. Many were purchased and preserved safe because benevolent "masters" knew that to let them go elsewhere would mean death. Of course, those who could be considered as benvolent were few, but who can argue that to purchase some (this was the economy at the time) was the only way to bring some to safety?
Read proverbs 29:21, "he that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child shall have him become his son at the length". You can see how merciful men would have worked within the system to do right in spite of common practices.
good post. Slavery was one of the compromises made in order to get all the states to agree to the Constitution.
