I wouldn't expect anyone to try to save a sleeping child on the back seat -- medicated or otherwise -- if the person didn't know the child was there.
As for me having an imagination, no....this is the story told by people at the party who were friends of Kopechne. I didn't make it up. And the mother believes this is what happened. Is her imagination twisted too?
Stupid is someone believing that ****-and-bull "official" explanation.
Hahahaha! Hahahahaha!!! You believe that crap? You'd believe most anything...as long as it fit your left-wing liberal bullsh*t beliefs.

No, you'll believe any illogical crap as long as it enables you to hate someone on the left.
I can truthfully say that I wouldn't be posting anything different if the story was about George W. Bush. An illogical story is an illogical story, regardless of whom it's about. The official story is illogical; the story told by people at the party makes sense.
Kennedy was off the hook even with the illogical story.
Sure - Ted Kennedy didn't even know Mary Jo was in the car... Is that why: "In his national address, Kennedy said he was driving Kopechne to a ferry landing because she was tired."
The story originally circulated as Kennedy prepared to run for President in 1980. It was a lame attempt to downplay the incident - and it failed miserably. Your recycling of the story in here will not change that fact.
Ted Kennedy's character was forever exposed on that night and following day. His actions led to the death of a young woman. He was found negligent by a judge. There was money paid out, and powers in play. Such is the game when one is a Kennedy in the northeast in 1969.
He shuffled on this earth for 77 years.
He was a Senator for nearly 50 years.
He was a man of character for far fewer years than that...
