Race-based attacks and criticism of President Obama have been on the rise during
the dog days of August. And they're not just happening at health care town hall protests.

A reader sent over a picture of a group of protesters camped outside Rep. Susan Davis's (D-Calif.).
"Neighborhood Day" event this past week, brandishing signs calling the president a Black
Supremacist and suggesting he's a Nazi disciple.

Race-Based Protests Directed At Obama Go Beyond Health Care Town Halls

don't think i'd like to be represented by a bunch of racists nuts in my party...

Obama is no Hitler just like the majority of the white people who do not care for his policies ARE NOT racists.......it's too easy to drop the racist charge and it actually will shut up certain people who become scared to voice their opinions in the politically correct climate we presently live in.......

Problem is that when bush was in office he never generated this much hate against him that Obama has gotten in under 8 months.

Even Dem has been pushing for Health care reform, it's not really a secret but a black man gets in office and it's Hitler, socialist...etc...etc...

Alot of the hate he gets is because he's black and alot of white people have a problem with a black man making more and having a higher position than them.

Exactly. Barack Obama is about as mainstream a president as can be. His policies do not standout; they are not radical or unconventional. Actually Barack Obama is basically doing the things that George Bush would have done had he not been crude, backwards and idiotic.

The only people who truly have issues with Obama would be those on the Left(i.e. Socialists and Anarchist) or those on the Right(Libertarians). Republicans really have no issues whatsoever except that Obama is not one of them.

I respectfully disagree....there are racists on "BOTH" sides of the race equation my friend but it is too easy to scare people who have a differing opinion from Obama when you throw out the "R" word!!!! I, and many other people, are tired of it....

I seem to recall plenty of depictions of Bush as a Chimp or Hitler, not that I disagreed but, that much seems to go either way. I can't get exited about it.

Republicans wanted Colin Powell to run for president in both 1996 and 2000. They practically begged him and polls showed that republicans almost certainly would have nominated him.

Now all of a sudden the republicans don't like Obama because he's black? LOLs. Stupid. If republicans were racist they never would have wanted Colin Powell in the first place.

And gangsta, Anarchists are not on the left. Anarchists believe in no government. Leftists believe in large, powerful government. They are as far away from each other as you can get.

Default re. Dukester post

I followed your link to the article. The premise of the article is biased. To imply that most (if any) protestors would bother to take time out of their personal lives to protest because of race is ludicrious.

That is leftist propaganda put forth to divert attention from what the protest is really about. The majority of conservatives don't care a bit about what race the President is or isn't. Race is realitively unimportant!

What those protestors object to are the politics of the President because those politics have already affected the financial lives of generations of our grandchildren. The protestors also have legitimate concerns that the healthcare reform will (eventually) result in loss of freedom of healthcare options for them as individuals (many of them seniors).

The majority of conseratives would gladly support a CONSERVATIVE black presidental candidate such as Michael Steele (for example) should he run for office. The race issue is a falsehood purposely pushed by the left to deny the truth that it is primarily the policies of the administration that cause objection. That way far-left can dismiss those in idealogical disagreement with them as bigoted thereby slanderously smearing their opponents credibility.

If Republicans were racist he wouldn't be president because many of them walked away from McCain to vote for Obama instead.
