Some in his own party are telling him the same thing tho.

But I agree that we need to do something. I'm just not smart enough to have the right answer. But I don't think the federal government is either.

Well if he does not get the public option then the people that voted for him may not vote for him again. I am sure that I won't. There is no acceptable compromise on this subject. Public option or out of office for any democrat that votes against it.

Basically what he really fears is having a vote and walking away with nothig as clinton did. Remember that politcs is defined as the art of compromise. He seems to waffle on where he stands fo0rmm day to day as many on the left are suicidal on a vote when they don't have the numbers.Obama has wasted alot of his politcal capital with the stimulus and other defcit raising programs witrh liitle to show for it but debt.
