Man bites off man's finger at Obama healthcare rally | Top of the Ticket | Los Angeles Times

It's simple: he'd be dead by now if I was in the group as that's considered deadly force in my state.

in the article you posted, it says "A scuffle ensued. And the pro-protester had a finger bitten off. ".

another article someone else posted said that it was the anti-protester.

which one is correct?

this one also says it was the anti-protester whose finger was bitten off.

Finger bitten off during California health protest - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090903/ap_on_re_us/us_finger_severed - broken link)

O'Hanlon says the man got into an argument and fist fight, during which he bit off the left pinky of a 65-year-old man who opposed health care reform.

either way it is ridiculous not ebing able to discuss in an orderly way. We all know that if you discuss with Dem. they always start raising their voice and never let you finish a sentence...that is the definition of a Democrate!

yeah, i think the blog was just wrong.

kind of funny that you apparently posted it without reading it though. edit - it was viewfromthepeak who posted it without reading it, not uggabugga.

and where does moveon.org come into it?

it should be noted that according to witnesses, the guy was initially punched and knocked into the street by the person whose finger he bit. not that that excuses such an insane and violent reaction, but the guy who got bitten was not exactly peaceful either.

sounds to me like two violent jerks looking for an excuse to fight, and not a reflection on either of their causes.

What does the # of times this has been posted have to do with the crime?

The protest was sponsored by MoveOn.org

Even liberals don't like MoveOn anymore...

where did you get that information? it's not in any article i've seen about the incident.

i don't really care about moveon.org, it's just funny that you guys tend to post these things in waves, always putting emphasis on the same things.
