Have you a link to any sort of source or article that explains the logic of this?

I am sick of liberals asking me to do their homework when they can't come up with a rebuttal. Do your own research. You know darn well the majority of debt was owned by China before this administration decided to start printing money. Even the Chinese don't want our debt anymore. We had to buy our own.

The Fed calls it "quantitative easing" or the purchasing of Treasuries.
Bernake announced that the Fed would be doing this last year.
Also known as "monetizing the debt" but that sounds ugly.

As China decreased their Treasury purchases the Fed increased the Treasury purchases.

I know, I have people like that in my own family. The ignorance and stupidity in this nation is flat out alarming. People get a viral email and somehow it MUST be true ...Obammy is a commie; Obammy is a terrorist; Obammy isn't a citizen; the guvmint did the 9-11 attacks; the guvmint faked the moon landings; the economy is going to crash this fall and we're all going to starve; there's a new virus out and not even microsoft can stop it; microsoft will give you a thousand bucks for testing their new software; Dell is giving away PCs; John McCain fathered a child with a black woman; eating vegetables will cure HIV/AIDS; hyperinflation is right around the corner; Acorn stole the election; the guvmint is going to take all yer guns; wrestling is real; etc, and the list of these insanities going around is endless, but the people on the far right eat it up like it's all gospel truth.

I did MY own research and PROVED your remark wrong. China does NOT own the majority of U.S. debt! Why don't YOU prove me wrong?

That's not the way we do things on CD. The person making the accusation has to provide proof. Period. A lot of the RWs don't like that.

Sorry if I refuse to fall into CD "lockstep". I live by my own rules and values. I never have and I never will depend on others to tell me how things should be done.

You won't have much cred on CD if you don't back up what you say with facts.

Why would any reasonable person care about having credibility on an internet forum? I am sorry but that is hilarious.
