Every time I think someone has posted the most idiotic thing possible, someone manages to post something worse.

Just heard a sound clip from when Beck was in Texas. They were screaming "secession" and how they hate the USA and the flag. A minute later after Beck made some idiotic comment about when he lived in Texas, they started to chant "USA, USA, USA". What a bunch of morons.

For information's sake,

many bases were closed as part of the base realignment program in which the governement tried to decrease the number of bases from Cold War levels.

And the thought of 'pulling' troops from Texas is ridiculous. The US does not 'occupy' Texas as it is a part of the US.

With all this secession talk, maybe its time we pour troops in, not take them out. Maybe we better start imposing a curfew. We could start intercepting food shipments too, and perhaps cut off electric and water service periodically. Need to show some of these galoots who's boss...

Obama's Troops, you're showing your true colors

The Military in Texas is Obama's Army of Occupation?

How about:

Yes, as long as the Federal Gov recognizes Texas' right to create it's own army for the purpose of defending itself, since the Feds will no longer do it. EDIT TO ADD: and any current members of the military who are Texas residents should be given the option to leave and join the Texas Army.

Pretty much. Somehow I think that military personnel and National Guard would not necessarily choose his side. I think that is true in many states.
