ABOUT FREAKING TIME... I am eager to read it... finally something to clear up all the smoke and fog... I wonder if this means all the other bills will be gone... If I know liberals, the answer would be no...
I have a feeling this is all a bunch of hoopla. The media is trying to push the idea that Obama will not include a public option when he addresses the country on Wednesday. I have a feeling it will be more of the same. This is a typical Obama tactic. He will just restate what the Dems have been pushing ie Public Option but somehow think if he masks it in a speech then the American public will think differently. Remember this post, I guarantee he will say nothing new.
It is not the job of the executive branch to legislate.
Proffering legislation is not legislating! Every President since Theodore Roosevelt has proffered legislation for consideration by the Congress. Even you can do the same.

No wonder this country is such a mess.
Just because there is precedent, doesn't make it right. By that logic, W tortured, therefore it is OK for the O-bomb to torture. Clinton got a BJ form an intern, therefore it is acceptable for the O-bomb to get a BJ from an intern. Clinton and Bush and others attacker sovereign nation, therefore it is acceptable for the O-bomb to attack sovereignty.
Demand they do their job, and do it properly, not in any way that subverts the constitution or denies due process. Regardless of what predecessors have done, demand more from the current elected leaders. Give them an inch........

Considering that he hasn't said much, anything will be new.
I second the notion that it's about time that Obama stepped up to the plate, laid out what he wants to the Congress and the American people. Giving the Congress the initiative to draft the legislation is great change, unfortunately, Congress having put its leadership role in a blind trust in favor of the executive branch for so long, it has forgotten how.

I started a post about the same thing... I am thinking that he isn't going to say something new... but I am eager to read Obama's Plan... I want to know the specifics cause that's the kind of guy I am... I look at specifics because if you aren't careful... the government will scr@w u... I want to know funding... I want to know how the plan will work to cover the unemployed and poor .. and I want to know what percent of it is REFORM and what those reforms are...
I only pray that it will be in English (no legal jargon) this time (if U know what I mean) -
I pray it address the high cost because of the "For Profit" insurance companies; will cover pre-existing conditions; travels with us from cradle to grave and is equally as good as the plan for our Politicians (that WE pay for); OH - and NOT be 1,000 confusing pages long. . .
