Labor Unions See Sharp Slide in U.S. Public Support

For first time, fewer than half of Americans approve of labor unions

Quote:
PRINCETON, NJ -- Gallup finds organized labor taking a significant image hit in the past year. While 66% of Americans continue to believe unions are beneficial to their own members, a slight majority now say unions hurt the nation's economy. More broadly, fewer than half of Americans -- 48%, an all-time low -- approve of labor unions, down from 59% a year ago.
Horrible numbers for the unions, but not surprising.

They are corrupt through and through and most recognize they are nothing more now than an arm of the democratic party.

american labor is anti labor.
i just dont get it.
has the government or your boss ever done anything to make you think that if you work hard and are
honest you will be treated fairly? why do you think labor unions exist? bek of unfairness & exploitation.
21 million illegal people here looking for work. our government does not know how they got here, does not know where they work.

Reminds me of when I was younger working in the building trades. It was a split shot. (Some union some not.) I made seven dollars more an hour because I chose not to be union. While all the poor union guy made less of an hourly wage and then had to pay dues out of the smaller paycheck. That is when I first really saw how brainwashed some people could be. The ardent union guys were just so proud to be union that they were happy to be forking away close to 30% of their wealth to the thugs up top.

I guess some people still believe that we are working in coal mines

Plenty of government labor laws in place that you don't need the unions anymore.
They served their purpose ..put them to bed now.

Wait until union retirees learn that they have been thrown under the bus.

Unions are losing members at a quick clip.

Unions are basically unnecessary today - and workers have figured that out.

I think people are waking up to what the unions are costing a company in terms of competitiveness.

Another thing is the foreign/southern auto workers wouldn't be getting paid like they do if it wasn't for the UAW. If i'm not mistaken, they actually make more. Something to ponder over, huh?

Fascism:

10. Labor Power is Suppressed -- Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated
entirely or are severely suppressed.

Republicans...Good little servants of Fascism.....
