Rice and Beans and Collard Greens

As the 9-12-2009 Tea Party was still going on, thousands of Tea Party goers made their way down to an African-American festival that was also on the Mall.

My wife and I were two of them. I had rice and beans and collard greens and my wife had to same with also fried shrimp.

There was NOT one negative incident. Everyone, who I talked to, had a great time at both events.

We are Americans more than just colors of skin. This is regardless of what the Media makes so many people think.

So you had ethnic food. Wow. I'm sure there was brotherly love was in the air, I'm sure all the teabaggers were concerned for the health and welfare of their colored brothers and sisters, and that is why they are in favor of universal health............um.............nevermind.

Before someone calls me a racist for saying "Rice and Beans and Collard Greens," my wife is from The Bronx. We attend many parties were those foods are a main stay. I love them.

Enough said.

I'm guessing that you didn't see Pat Buchanan there:

"The European-Christian core of the country that once defined us is shrinking, as Christianity fades, the birth rate falls and Third World immigration surges. Globalism dissolves the economic bonds, while the cacophony of multiculturalism displaces the old American culture."
Is America coming apart?

It's hard to be a racist when my 3 step-children and two of my grand children are bi-racial.

I don't just like the food. People are people.
[Mod edited]Please don't try to confuse the two for your political beliefs. The more you do, the more you fit into the second group.

And yet had he avoided the other festival you would have declared him a racist for fearing to be around black people.

Some people can't win --- unless of course they march to your partisan drum...

Buchanon is a douche and a great example of what is wrong with the republican party.....and also a great reminder as to why I will never be a republican again. I fear his theocratic rhetoric is too deeply ingrained in the gop for it to ever 'rediscover' conservatism.
