Bush did not ask students how they can help HIM.. Stop pretending they are the same because they arent. The only way the DOE could come up with such a question is if the original speech included such a request..

The fact that it was everywhere doesnt mean that when asked about the speech, EVERY KID would ignore the controversy about the assignments and only talk about the speech or expected content of the speech.

You liberals can write off what I say but that doenst change the fact that it wasnt the speech which caused an uproar, it was a simply request in the assignment to "help the president", and the fact that I have not seen a student anywhere comment about class assignments speaks volume..

Our school district allowed the high school kids to decide for themselves or they could take the time and go to the football stadium to have some quality time with each other.

Well, the verdict, the football stadium was full of kids today!

Teacher reported that only a small handful of kids watched it.

See, even the kids can make up their own minds and a huge majority chose not to waste their time listening to a nutcase who is struggling to find something positive.

As I said before, how can someone who is a crappy Dad tell kids to work harder when he allowed his own young kids to be FORCED into listening to HATE in a church filled with racist.

So did the Obama kids have a choice not to listen to the racist pig Wright or did Daddy force them to learn how he believes?

Lefties need to be careful with their choice of words because Obama is a poor example of a parent who forced his kids to believe that all white people are bad.
The speech by the way was only meant for a small segment of kids anyway.

I can see right through him on this one, he was talking to that select group of kids and not the entire group as they would like you to think they was.

Anyway, hey Obama! You still are not very popular even after this political ploy of yours.

Sorry, it did not work out in your favor once again as you look like you are on a hiring mission or something.

OBAMA-

Kids, help me out please, I am struggling and need your help.
Stay in school and work hard so you can help me change America into a socialist country.

I'm sure the principles and the teachers had something similar to say, after all they are the ones held responsible for their students, not 0bama. But instead, they had to be supplanted by the president. The guy just cannot stop getting enough face time.... <insert expletive> we have had enough of 0bama already, the guy is always sticking his face into the TV cameras, and now, the first day of school in just not complete without his face in their classrooms?

Can he please just go do his freaking job, and maybe read some of that crap he is proposing to sign into law?

Could he actually take some personal responsibility and do a ten freaking minute Google search on the people he appoints to important government jobs, that control billions of taxpayer dollars.

CAN WE GET A GROWN-UP IN THE WHITE HOUSE PLEASE?

First of all, yes, Obama is definately not Bush.....thank God
Second of all you have not been able to provide a link or proof of the "original speech" so stop making a fool of yourself.

I think that they should home school their children for the next few years.

Um, obviously your slow today because I'm not the one who got bent out of shape over the phrase "help the president", I'm simply pointing out what others were upset about, and pointing out that indeed it was in the original study points..

Ahh, back to that "dispute" again ha? In the even you were not following along, todays speech was about how children can help themself or each other, it did not involve the president at all, so unless SOMEONE can point out what part of the speech referred to "helping the president", it indeed is proof positive that it was changed.

Sorry you have higher standards that common sense acknowledges it was changed because there is no part of the speech to refer to that the question would apply to, but when the DOE acknowledges that changes were made, and its normal for presidents to adjust their speeches dozens of times, only a fool would imply that the speech was written and then not changed, especially given the questions previously asked which caused such an uproar..
