Umm their was no "original speech". As far as why is wasn't released earlier, it was said from pretty much the start that it would be released on Monday. Just because what the DOE suggested to do was changed doesn't = speech was changed.
Then tell me when the DOE suggested the question of
"how can you help the president"..
DO WHAT?
If your telling me the speech was not changed, then you or the wife beater would have no problem at all picking out from the text of the speech, what Obama needed their help to do...
Seriously, it shouldnt be difficult to find, the text copies are everywhere. What part of the speech could the question be referring to?

The lesson plan was for a completely different speech, that much is clear. I still think his speech was going to be about the global warming, green energy and the new National Day of Service on Sept 11th, its the only thing that makes sense, then all of those lesson plans, assignments and even the timing of this speech all start to make sense.

"Dissed?" Puh-leeze. I'm teaching my children to think for themselves, instead of mindlessly believing a corrupt, egomaniacal leader who is the puppet for a group of people who are intent on steering this country into socialism.
Help Obama? I think, as President, he needs to help the American people. It isn't ALL ABOUT HIM. He needs to do the right thing, and so far, nothing he has done has inspired me to respect him. In fact, the longer he is in office, the more untrustworthy he is proving himself to be.
Like I said, EPIC FAIL.
On the other hand, EPIC WIN for the United States, parents, and their families, for wising up to this charlatan.

Glad to see the "real amerika" showing the true colors of it and its parents. No way would I ever had walked out on Bush #1's speech or Reagan's speech, and I am a clear Obama supporter.
My daughter (high school) said her teacher didn't even show them the speech
My son (middle school) said a "huge" amount of kids left the classroom and skipped the speech
