She only communicates through other vehicles like books, facebook, and press releases. I find that disturbing that the political leader of the G.O.P. refuses to speak off script or without handlers or editors...

She does speak at events, and she did a series of interviews not long ago. I agree with you on facebook, though.

If someone facebooks or tweets I pay them no attention.

She is out there without a ghost writer, alias. That is bold. She owns it if it is said. Your going to be able to hold her accountable for what she says or does.

If I didn't know better, I'd say she has brass balls.

Well in Rush Limbaughs latest newsletter he had an extensive interview with her that was quite interesting.

I've seen her speak in person and no she didn't need a teleprompter like obama. She's also been out there doing plenty of interviews.

Are you sure you aren't talking about Obama? His campaign handlers said they didn't let him speak off script and it was brilliant of them. they made sure to control all appearances he made. You never saw him at town hall meetings did you unless he was in control of it all. It was planned that way and they admitted it.

Palin used a teleprompter during the campaign. There is nothing wrong with using a teleprompter. It's standard practice.

Have you heard the woman talk? She's a disaster (or outright comedy, depending on your viewpoint) waiting to happen.

Nvexplorer and I agree on this, and that is remarkable. Almost every politician I can think of has used a teleprompter of some sort or another. Using a teleprompter itself is no sign of sincerity or anything else.

I believe Palin is sincere. I believe she means what she says. At the same time, and this is hard for some people to understand, it does not matter whether she believes what she says.

I find what she says to be patently ridiculous, whether she means it or not. Therefore I think she is a silly person. To say that living next door to Russia or whatever means that one has the knowledge necessary to make policy decisions is laughable. It is laughable in the same way that me saying that my former life in Wisconsin entitles me to an opinion on Chicago is. (I would never say that--"Wisconsin" and "Chicago" are clearly two different things).

The mainstream media has moved on because their audience has too. Sure, Palin sells a lot of books, but so did P.T. Barnum. I might read some of what she has written through her ghost writer, and I have read a lot of what she has said in interviews, but I just don't agree with her.

I find it refreshing she does not use a teleprompter. We all know who can't speak without one.
