Has he EVER given a speech you didnt think was great. I mean seriously, I get the feeling he could have humped a dog and you would have admired how it was done..
Well, for starters, that should only happen in response to a lie.
What did Obama lie about?
Are you following along? When Obama said that this program will not cover illegal aliens, ITS A FLAT OUT LIE... Hospitals will increase the bills of those with care to cover the illegal aliens, its the way its been for ages, and if nothing is done to curb the expenses they incur, your not fixing anything...
What part of "illegals will not be covered" was a lie?
There is already a federal reg in place that allows illegals to receive free healthcare if they show up at an ER with an emergency. So they are essentially getting coverage - the sure get no charge healthcare (but it does have to be an emergency).
The LAW dictates that they are indeed taken care of.. So while the hospitals will not have an "insurance" company to bill, they will of course be STILL increasing the tab of everyone else to pay for their care...
That's not coverage. That's care. Yes, it will still impact health costs for all. But tax dollars going to a government public option will not go to illegal aliens. They will not be able to join such a plan. The health insurance options that come out of health care reform will not cover illegal aliens. Plain and simple.
Obama didn't claim that illegal aliens no longer will be treated by the healthcare system the way they are now. He said the reform proposals will not cover illegal aliens. And they won't. It's not a lie.
