Princess puts inheritance in tax haven

DutchNews.nl - Princess puts inheritance in tax haven

Princess Christina, one of queen Beatrix's three sisters, has set up a second letter box company on the tax haven island of Guernsey, the Volkskrant reports on Friday.

The paper says the princess established the Crocus Trust to look after millions of euros inherited from her father Bernhard. The trust is managed from the queen's Noordeinde palace in the Hague.

Earlier this year MPs were highly critical of the princess when it emerged she had put money inherited from her mother into the Daffodil Trust, also located on the British Channel island.

They say the princess, who lives in London, is setting a bad example by using tax havens to avoid paying tax.

They are also angry that the trusts

That is how rich people do it...they hide their wealth and than start telling the rest of the country that the rich should pay higher taxes....

The Kennedy's are doing it and so are others...that is why Dem. are hypocrites!

The Dutch royal family are a bunch of Democrats! I had no idea!

If you're going to make your case, then use examples of Kennedy and American Democrats. You shouldn't have to go to the Netherlands to prove your point

Yeah We'd be sooooooooooooo much better off following the NeoConfused model: Cut taxes for everyone while continuing to SPEND! SPEND! SPEND! THAT's a real long term plan, eh?

And IF you really want to talk about hypocrisy, let's talk about that of the NeoConfused, who have no problem redistributing wealth half way around the world, funding infrastructure & social programs for alleged friends who contribute NOTHING to America, while the mere possibility of the government buying even a BandAid for an American sends them running off in terror screaming SOCIALISM! SOCIALISM! SOCIALISM!

Now THAT's hypocrisy!

I rove when people point to the Netherrands, France, and other European countries as sooo bad when they actually have a health care system, standard of living, poverty level, crime level, and so many other things that just crush the U.S. in rankings.
