The Weekly Standard

Quote:
A top House Dem leadership aide has emailed a memo to Dem aides on the Hill and outside liberal groups warning they should brace for a turnout of up to two million people, suggesting Dems worry that if enough conservatives descend on the Mall it will amount to a major PR victory for the right.
Ahhh...a clever page out of the dem/liberal playbook - hype up expectations and then when the numbers fall short, declare "a bust".

They are so transparent.

Quote:
The House leadership memo predicting huge turnout could have been written in hopes that it would leak and inflate expectations for turnout, anticipating that it will fall far short.
Not in "hopes" it would leak - they leaked it intentionally.

So what do you call realistic numbers?

Whatever number shows up is the realistic number. Why bother trying to predict something like that?

Tea Parties = Republican butthurt and theft of libertarian ideals. Not once were tea parties held when Reagan, Bush, and Bush II placed us in chains of debts.

Have no idea. Does it matter?

You didn't see this in the news today either;

Gateway Pundit: US DOCTORS RALLY IN WASHINGTON-- Protest Obamacare (Video) (http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2009/09/us-doctors-march-on-washington-protest.html - broken link)

The media might not even cover it.

You are right about the {R}s stealing libertarian ideas,when it first started out it was Ron Paul supporters and other like minded groups.They were working on the tea party idea back in 2008.
You can tell that the {R}s hijacked the movement just by looking at their speaker list,it is filled with a bunch of creepy {R}s and maybe 2 or 3 people from our groups.
If one was close to my home I would go to one,but if I had to drive a long distance I would pass.Why would I waste my money and time to go listen to a bunch of {R}s.

I heard they want 100,000 people but would be happy with 50,000 depending on the weather. The memo suggesting that 2 million would show up is pretty idiotic( even for dem leaders) , they didn't even have that many for the Obamanation swearing in. That was what, almost a million? If they even thought for a second 2 million people would show up they'd call up the army and flee DC.
