How many of you are just plain fed up with the way our government is going? I know I am. I'm not talking about just republicans or just democrats, I'm talking about BOTH parties.

Each party is EQUALLY to blame for the mess we currently find ourselves in. Several administrations over the past 20+ years have all helped to perpetuate the problem and became the enablers for each successive administration to further the damage. Collectively, they have reduced our country to ruins.

People are sick but can't get insurance because their companies reduced their job status to that of part-time to avoid having to offer them insurance.

Our government officials were elected to serve "we the people," yet they control us Vs "us" being in control. They can vote to give themselves a wage increase anytime they want to. When's the last time minimum wage was raised?

This country has a high divorce rate, with lots of deadbeat dads. Most of the deadbeat dads find ways to hide their income to avoid having to pay child support, or spousal support. So, this forces Mothers to have to go to work in order to provide for their families. A woman does not get paid the same money for the same job as a man with the same experience. Equal pay for equal work does not exist if you are a woman. So, these women that are working single mom's due to having deadbeat ex-husbands are systematically sentenced to a life below poverty simply because of their gender.

There are large segments of society that have lost their homes and are now living in the streets because there aren't enough shelters to provide for all of them. There are an abundance of shelters for homeless men, but there are no shelters for women with children. Why is that? Do women and children not deserve shelter?

We spend billions of US dollars every year via donations to other countries, and the cost of our wars, conflicts, and political interests. Why should the US Government continue to give taxpayer money to countries that don't like us? They could use that money to improve OUR country FIRST!

Charity begins at home! People NEED health care! Women NEED equal pay! Homeless children NEED shelter! The elderly NEED food! Minimum wage NEEDS to be raised in order for folks to be able to survive!

There are so many things that NEED to be fixed, like our public roads, bridges, dams, schools that are falling apart, the education system as a whole -- and the list goes on and on.

I urge all of you to take back OUR country. Tell the Government to stop spending OUR money like it's THEIR money! Use your VOTE and send them ALL packing!

There are organizations that right now are fighting for all of us to preserve our country and our Constitution, to help stop illegal immigration, and to demand ethics and responsibility in Washington.

Get involved and make a difference if you're unhappy with the way things are. Sitting around complaining doesn't solve the problem. To bring about a solution requires action from ALL OF US!

So, you're sitting there and I can hear you asking yourselves, "Well, gee Eddie ... what can we do?"

One voice alone cannot make a difference. However, there's strength in numbers. Become one of the numbers. Unite. Organize. Stand up. Fight. Be heard!

Judicial Watch is a conservative, nonpartisan, Government watchdog group that promotes transparency, accountability and integrity in government, politics and the law.

NumbersUSA is an organization ran by Dr. Roy Beck. Their mission is to help reduce Illegal Immigration numbers in this country.

VOID Vote Out Incumbents Democracy is a movement to get rid of government dead weight by voting out ALL of our current officials and starting over! If your city or state elected officials have been in office for more than 6 years, they are not part of the solution -- they are part of the problem. VOTE THEM OUT in 2010/2012!

CREW Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington is an organization that mandates all public officials be held accountable. They demand that officials with questionable ethics, or are lawbreakers to be removed from office.

Please join in the fight to save our country and turn it back into the great land that it once was. We owe it to our children, and to our children's children.

God Bless the USA!

I agree with you Eddie...wholeheartedly!! It's time these people stop defending "their parties" and use "their common sense". We're all being taken for a ride by these crooked, self-serving "politicians". WAKE UP PEOPLE...THE JOKES ON YOU!

If you're really fed up with your elected officials in Washington, here's a thought - stop sending them to Washington! People sit in their living rooms and whine about corrupt, uncaring, and incompetent politicians in Washington, but they keep sending the same people again and again.

"Washington" isn't the problem - it's the people outside Washington. So if you're "fed up with Washington", look in the mirror.

Agreed Peggy Anne, 01Snake, and mhert! That's what VOID is all about. If you visit CREW you can see where they've called for Sanders to resign. He should. We don't need people like that in government regardless of what party they belong to.

turn that anger and frustration into directed and controlled action.

Ron Paul's failed bid for President ended up turning into The Campaign for Liberty, which promotes and assist independent and libertarian types to gain office. They have actually been quite successful in many areas, including my state of Tennessee.

Now the point isn't whether you agree with Ron Paul's politics or not as I'm willing to bet there are many traditional liberal types who are just as ticked off and frustrated by the Obama administration that they will likely do a similar thing if they haven't already.

With such low public sentiment towards government in general right now, then now is the time to act in getting independents, third parties, etc... into the political mix. Do not expect an independent or third party to win the Presidency in the next election or the one after that, the point is gaining a base that is more diverse, be it dog catcher or Senator.

Nothing would please me more than to see the rise of an independent party or group of political types gain as much influence as possible and now is the time to do it.

It's hard to fathom how fairly normal people in politics can remain even a little bit sane. The power struggles, the ego conflicts, the greed, pecking orders, competition, bowing and scraping, plotting and planning, dog eat dog. Imagine the stomach acid that churns in Washington D.C. every day.
