"I would just like to add that if I were jealous of Palin I would have made catty remarks about her appearance. I would have pointed out, for instance, that the lipstick she wore on the Barbara Walters show was far too glossy."

Only totally clueless young women or men would think that feminists and housewives are two totally opposite groups and assume that Sarah Palin would unite them.

Yeah, no kidding. They are not mutually exclusive. Bizarre thread.
I have nothing against Ms Palin but she is just not intelligent or educated or stable enough to run the country. As long as she just continues doing what she is doing (making money off her fan base) I wish her nothing but the best. But to be President someone sure as hell better have better credentials than Sarah, or me for that matter. I want our best and brightest, not our most average and popular to lead this country.
And before you get your panties in a bunch I don't think Obama was the best choice either.

Here were a couple of thoughts from Camille Paglia that I thought were pertinent to your point:
"Whether Palin has a national future or not will depend on her willingness to hit the books at some point and absorb more information about international history and politics than she has needed to know in her role as governor..........it's pretty obvious that Palin still lacks that cadre of trusted pros who are the invisible elves behind every successful national politician -- the assistants who gather and vet material and who filter proposals and plan logistics."
If I were jealous of her, I would not have defended her parenting decisions with which I did not personally agree.
This sounds rather defensive. I'm not sure just what, if anything, you are implying. Are you leaving out something? Just want to know......
