Saw this on a financial blog I post on. I know it's true for me. When things get tight, I want to withdraw $30 from the ATM instead of $40. I would only do it at my bank though to avoid the $2 fee. This is in downtown NYC.

Yeah, $2.00 for a $0.0002 transaction cost. It must be nice to be in an oligipoly.
