Wow, a crappy right wing internet "news" site that bases it's entire story on silence. What a surprise. Even more of a shocker is another thread by a guy who is basing his entire argument on the imaginary "What if" that probably will never happen.

Now wait a minute, Obama does not even know what the middle class is.

He moves the goal post in every speech depending on who he is talking to.

Everyone knows he lied about tax cuts for 95% of all Americans. We all know 95% of all Americans do not pay taxes in the first place.

Obama is a liar period.

Lets watch and see if the middle class gets one single tax hike when Obama promised they would never seen a single tax hike.

This was August 3. Since then the Admin has said several times and in no uncertain terms there will NOT be a tax hike on the middle class.

Estimated $62.5B in Tax Relief from the Recovery Act | Recovery.gov

"The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act included a broad range of tax cuts aimed at making the tax code more fair and supporting the middle class:
  • 95% of all working families will receive a tax cut
  • 70% of the tax benefits goes to the middle 60% of American workers
  • 2 million families will be lifted out of poverty by the tax cuts in the Recovery Act
  • More than $150 billion in tax cuts will help low-income and vulnerable households during the economic recovery
  • About 1 Million jobs will be created or saved by these tax cuts alone"

There's at least one other thread on this.

If he does, they'll have a DC tea party protest so big they'll have to let them on the White House Lawn.

it was from a george stephanopolous interview. is anyone else offended that geithner thinks that we have to bail out the government, which CHOSE to bail out the bad bankers and bad wall street derivative investors, and he wants to talk about the taxpayers acting responsibly?

“George it is absolutely right and very important for everyone to understand that we will not get this economy back on track, recovery will be not strong and sustained, unless we are--can convince the American people that we're going to have the will to bring these deficits down once recovery is firmly established,” said Geithner.

Geithner said the country is going to have to face what he called “a very difficult challenge: in getting the size of the deficit down.

why doesn't the government feel the need to act responsibly???? people need to understand that government spending results in taxation for everyone. here is an excellent explanation from ron paul:
