Funny how no one is admitting to being a Republican any more!
Yep, and some of us won't admit we're democrat anymore either. Oh, and some democrats like me have already changed to unaffiliated. I don't want anything to do with those nut bags that are no where near representing me anymore.
Given the choices listed above I have to admit to being a Republican. Also, I have to say that I am not at all racist but don't mind having you backslapping lefties call me that since I know the truth and you need name calling to make each other feel so superior.
I've never called you a racist. I'd like the conservatives to quit saying that liberals have no morals, are lazy, are all welfare bums, etc. Not you roys, but a lot of your fellow travelers on this board.
From what I can see, the DC Rally last weekend just might be the beginning of the end of the teabag movement. With greater widespread coverage, both the good and the bad are exposed. For some people who were merely considering some of the ideas of the teabag movement such as opposing healthcare reform in its present format, or czars, or some specific policy, this demonstration will be a real turn off. No one in their right mind would want to be associated with some of these flat out crazies.

Only to a complete ignoramus is it funny that America no longer has viable leadership.
Only to the most idoitic and uneducated is it funny that complete erosion of checks and balances in Government has caused America to plummett in World stature.
Only to the most empty minded would it be a positive that the blind worship that many have for President Obama go unchallenged.
No it is not funny at all that America does not have any choice but to elect Radical neocon Republicans or Radical left wing neoliberals.

That actually does sound like you mind, even just a little....

Sometimes a little sunshine is a good thing.
What was "the bad"? The event was peaceful, considering how many thousands were there, they cleaned up after themselves.
What was "the bad"? Did you not like some of the thoughts or signs of the fringe elements? The ones with 0bama as Hitler signs were the Lynden LaRouche democrats. If a few tasteless signs are what you refer to as "the bad" then i think we have nothing to worry about.
When the tea parties decide they understand how a consumer economy work, and the role social safety
netting plays to investors/bankers who need americans to spend and not save for a rainy day, maybe
then there will be worrying.
Right now, the tea parties are driving thinkers away. It proves them right, it subtly encourages
focus away from the problem of outsourcing jobs and the relationship between social safety netting
and investment. Do we really want people saving when our economy is based on spending?
I'm old enough to remember when people use to save before purchasing items. They didn't want
charity or debt that created dependency on the banker. Easy credit broke down those walls and
many got rich selling debt to the american consumer. Selling debt for that car and charging you
interest instead of you saving to buy that car. Selling debt became a way of life and our social
safety netting encouraged this new spending.
So the tea parties is/was a way to keep us all busy while your jobs and futures are/were being sold overseas.
Face it, we're not needed any more

I think more and more of us (who are honest at least) have determined that both parties are corrupt and do not have our interests at heart. Only the fringe on both sides defend their parties despite what vile rhetoric they spew, what lies they tell, or how much in the end it will hurt our Country. This is why more and more of us are declaring that we are independents. And even though for example you and I may be more liberal or conservative on certain issues, I believe that as more and more of us declare our independence, that we will be able to come together and bring our Country back to where it should be.
