I don't think people buy Nike just because of Tiger, but they boycott Nike and other products because of what he did.
I think it is funny that they will boycott Nike because of Tiger, yet they were OK with buying Nike's before the Tiger news, despite Nike having a horrible human rights record. It's OK to buy shoes made by slave children, not OK to buy shoes endorsed by someone who cheats on his wife!
I wonder if it's not that people quit buying products because they are advertised by Tiger but rather a dip in sales could be chalked up to those ads all being pulled off the media. Out of sight, out of the buyer's minds so to speak.
Michael Jordan had more women than Tiger, while married. Nike & Gator aid knew this too. Point is, who cares what these people do in their private life.
