Okay, let's not play dumb here. Did you expect for things to get better?? Things are definitely going to get worse before they get better because what is being suggested here (public health care option) is cutting to the core of what matters: private insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies and Wall Street LOSING THEIR HIGH PROFIT MARGIN If the consumer is given another choice other than the scraps we are used to being offered.
H*ll will freeze over sooner than the corporations will let that happen. They will call for bloody civil war in our country before they let that happen. They won't be calling it themselves, as that will be too obvious. They will have their highly-paid messengers do it for them. They already are. Anyone who doesn't see what is REALLY going on, looks past the buzzwords, the accusations, the hate and fear-mongering already knows that.
Ask yourself if Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, etc. would do their jobs for FREE? Would they hate and fear-monger for FREE? Or maybe they just do it because they're getting paid handsomely to do it and if they don't someone else will. That's no surprise. As I said, at least be honest about it and realize that money and power drive people to do all sorts of things. The entities who pretty much have a monopoly on our healthcare system do NOT want to give up their power and $$$$. They're going to do what they know works best: Divide and conquer, divide and conquer, until the public health care option dies and is resurrected again by another administration. Then the same process will just be repeated over and over again.
If there is going to be healthcare reform, it has to be done now, and ALL people who want (and realize that they deserve more than what they are currently being offered) need to press on and keep moving forward. This is not the time to back down to fear and hate-mongers, and certainly not to those who could care less about you or me.
