But at Jimmy Carter's age, 47 would be "a boy" in retrospect.

I think this was taken out of context when seen as the "whole" and I would not say it was racist.

Sandy, in context, it is clear that Carter is talking about Obama's childhood and what life was like growing up........and yet he, today, has opportunities from which he would have been absolutely precluded in the past.
