In August 2009, Employment falls in 42 States Yet Obama says the Recession is over
Employment falls in 42 states, D.C. - Washington Times

Forty-two states and the District of Columbia lost jobs last month, confirming that the nation's labor market continues to deteriorate even as more "green shoots" are sighted in other areas of the economy.

Fourteen states and the District suffered double-digit jobless rates in August as the unemployment rate increased in 27 states and the nation's capital, the Labor Department reported Friday.

What does this tell you about President Obama?

Racists are refusing to work just to give Obama bad numbers...

Another prediction from Ben "always wrong" Bernanke. Why would Obama reappoint someone who's 0 for one million in his ability to forecast trends?

Didn't you watch the speech?

WASHINGTON: US economy has stepped back from its worst recession in seven decades and is on the road to recovery, President Barack Obama said in a rare address to Congress Wednesday night.
http://infotech.indiatimes.com/Reces...ow/4994196.cms

While he added that a "full and vibrant economy is still many months away, he took credit for
pulling the world's largest economy out of a deep crisis.

Well, either the economy is still in crisis, or it is not. We know the stimulus isn't working - only a small fraction has even been spent. Unemployment is rising even while people are falling off the unemployment rolls. Foreclosures are up.

Just google it, instead of always asking for a link. It's not that hard to conclude that we are sitting in sinking sand.

Default Fed Official: Real Unemployment at 16 Percent

Obama hides the true facts.

The real US unemployment rate is 16 percent if persons who have dropped out of the labor pool and those working less than they would like are counted, a Federal Reserve official said Wednesday.

"If one considers the people who would like a job but have stopped looking -- so-called discouraged workers -- and those who are working fewer hours than they want, the unemployment rate would move from the official 9.4 percent to 16 percent, said Atlanta Fed chief Dennis Lockhart.
