Ex-CIA chiefs seek halt to interrogations probe - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090918/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/us_cia_interrogations - broken link)

WASHINGTON – Seven former CIA directors asked President Barack Obama on Friday to quash a criminal probe of harsh interrogations of terror suspects during the Bush administration.

The CIA directors, who served both Democratic and Republican presidents and include three who worked under President George W. Bush, made their request in a letter Friday to the White House.

No one is above the law, and if evidence exists that something illegal may have happened it should be investigated.

If the government claims it wants to keep us safe, then it should accomplish this by doing the RIGHT thing, not the WRONG thing.

Investigate, prosecute, and insure it doesn't happen again.

Obama went back on his word. Or, maybe he didn't. He just wants to appear as though this is not his decision. I wish he'd think of the country first for a change, not himself or his party.

Upholding the law and making sure no one is above the law is putting the country first.

How do you think they hire any more agents who are worth squat. First a bunch of lawyers say to go at it and then four years later another one decides he will prove that he first group were wrong. I guess you might be a bit blind as in unable to see what has been done to our espionage program. Holder needs to be investigated for his left handedness for making the President a bigger liar than he already was.

Did I hear you say that you will be volunteering for the CIA soon? Why not, if a future enemy of the state gets to be AG he may well get at you.
