And that effort appears to be going very well.

Ms. Snowe has not endorsed either Democratic
health care bill in the Senate. No Republican has.

But in an interview, she offered a surprisingly
robust endorsement of Mr. Obama’s skepticism
about expanding government too much, his willingness
to accommodate different views and his assertion
that Washington must act now after decades of failure.

no it is the republican traitors who are the ones who are being paid by the health insurance companies

when republicans/democrats do something like this, it is because they have a heart and a conscience, something the republicans know nothing about

She won reelection in 2006 with 74% of the vote.

And the people of Maine support a government-administered health insurance option, 58-29:

As she said recently, she's still a Republican, but the Republican Party has changed dramatically.

Although I haven't listened to Mark Levin in about the 2.5 years since I moved, he used to call her Olympia Snow Job. This is nothing new with her. The surprising thing was that it took her this long. She's been a RINO for quite a long time.

Didn't you notice how she was smiling all the way through his health care speech...I had no clue who she was, but she was treated by the Dem. like Dave Matthews felt like when he is watching Obama..."a chill up his leg"...well this womanlooked the same, so I'm not surprised at all.

But we have seen Mr. Rogers (Dem.) who is on the side of the Rep. on health care and very much opposed to the Obama plan!

I guess a representative of the people actually listening to the people and endorsing something that would benefit the people just isn't the 'true' Republican way

While they are very different people who don't see eye-to-eye on every issue, both Sen. Snowe and Sen. Collins are examples of what Republicans used to be before that ill-fated Party was taken over by a bunch of nutcase liars and screamers -- honest, intelligent, principled politicians who understand their job, their state, and their country. If it wishes to survive as anything other than some sort of radical fringe group, the GOP should be working to recruit more like them, not trying to run them out of the Big Tent (LOL) on a rail...
