Name another trillion dollar spending bill that originated in the senate that imposes a tax on Americans that was passed by reconciliation. That's a rhetorical question Farley. It will be challeged and the Left knows it.

First, they have to run it by the parliamentarian, which will not be easy, since there is nothing budgetary in obamacare.

If that works, then they have to muster the 51 votes from their own party - I have my doubts they can do that.

If that works, then the senate will come to a standstill.

Works for me!

Doubtful, but it will burn the butts of the insurance companies. Glad Reid grew some gonads. Since the Democrat voters voted Obama in for this issue, I think that they will thank their representatives when the bill passes. Just seems logical.

What did Reid say, that if Obamacare doesn't go through he'll lose his job by not being re elected? That'll happen if some of what Obama wants gets passed or not.

Actually, I was looking a few 8 to 10 years down the road.

In politics, 2 things happen ... no one can see beyond the end of their nose, and when something doesn't go right, the finger always points to the past.

It doesn't make a difference what the party is ...

He's trailing by almost 10 points against anyone they put in against him. They despise HR in Nevada. Plus, you're the guy that started a thread in the election forum stating that no dems would lose in '10, so you're credibility is next to nil, with all due respect.

"The Republicans have done this sort of thing before ".

Please provide details. I am not challenging you, i just don't remember.

The Republicans threatened to do it trying to get an up or down vote on federal judges, I believe. The Democrats coine the phrase at that time the Nuclear Option because of the ramifications.

Harry who? Wasn't he defeated back in November 2010 because he failed to understand that forcing legislation through via a procedural maneuver was the antithesis of what the American people expect from it's elected leaders in Washington DC?

Keep it up Harry, and you'll be watching Back to the Future in adult diapers by next Thanksgiving.
