If I knew a honest, bright, capable individual who had the proper "people-skills", I would not hesitate to somehow bring him into the spot-light. Enough with "proffesional" politicians. Find someone in your community, on a grass-root level whom is decent, and respectable, and have him serve somehow.

I bet a lot of young people / activists / politicians start out with a certain idealism only to become part of a dirty business. A bigger challenge is to find someone who retains their values and isn't corrupted by the system.
