Perdue spoke to President Obama on Tuesday night about the flooding, White House spokesman Nick Shapiro said.
The president "expressed his condolences for the loss of life and his concern for the citizens of Georgia amidst the ongoing flooding," Shapiro said.
Governor Perdue updated Obama on the situation, and the two discussed the response to the crisis, Shapiro added. The president also assured the governor that his request for federal aid would receive prompt attention, the spokesman added.
Bush "said" the same , but it does not bother you that Obama badmouthed his own country , ours?
I don't really understand what you expect Obama to do here. Yes, there was flooding with loss of life, and he acknowledged it and spoke to the Governor.
The actual flooding conditions are over and were relatively quickly, and there aren't people trapped waiting for help.
