Really? The people in attendance seemed to think she was quite impressive, articulate, compelling and even "brilliant". And that just burns the liberal hiney, doesn't it?

The fact that it wasn't open to the press, that she didn't have to deal with any aggressive reporters, is also part of this scenario. It's not quite as difficult to seem articulate when no one is challenging you. When she deals effectively with a public speech at which vocal opposition is present, then we can evaluate how impressive she is. At this point, we haven't learned anything new about Mrs Palin. She is an attractive woman who can give a prepared speech, and she can do that well.
