In the past, they've polled Asian fortune tellers for index targets, hired anime cartoonists to draw Japanese research, and generally love to push the boundaries between entertainment and analysis. They are a real research firm, it's just that they love to sprinkle in some hilarity every now and then as a smart marketing gimmick.

Sarah Palin is this year's big laugh for them.

Well at least Frau Palin can laugh all the way to the bank.

That story may well be a practical joke but then the HuffPo is very well known for that left handed attempt to hide things like the possible truth. They took you in, anyway. But then you wanted to read those words, "May Be", didn't you.

Predictable retort. If I were to bet on who would have responded to the thread and how, you would have been one of my sure shot choices.

Yes there was...this was the counter thread to the "brilliant" thread. I thought that the "Borat" description nailed it.

No joke - she was there and was very impressive, by all accounts. Even "brilliant"!

Palin slams Obama's spending in debut speech in Asia

Quote:
"She was brilliant," said a European delegate, on condition of anonymity.

Quote:
said Mrs. Palin spoke from notes for 90 minutes and that she was articulate, well-prepared and even compelling.
Quote:
“She was articulate and she held her own. I give her credit. They’ve tried to categorize her as not being bright. She’s bright.”
A rousing success, I would say.
