In ancient times, there were obviously fewer people available TO kill.

So people like Pol Pot and Stalin are secular humanists because they do not subscribe to any religion.

Secular humanism is a default.

I read it. I disagree.

The default case for those not believing in religion is secular humanism.

And they do suggest the worship of humans--themselves.

They sure did. They expected to be revered. Most dictatorial types are egomaniacs.

I think secular humanism is far more benign and general - involves respect of other humans, not the kind these dictators demanded for themselves while killing millions. They were anything but secular humanists, as most people understand secular humanism to be and as is evidenced by the examples here (Secular humanism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).

Anyway, am off to bed....

Sweet dreams.

People in power, like dictators do not care about anything but power.

Wikipedia....meh!

They care about power, because they're egomaniacs. So they do want to be revered.

Christianity, hands down. There were all those Crusades, the Inquisitions, and that doesn't even consider all those forced conversions of the pagans.

Greetings,

The most killings in the name of Christianity perhaps but of course most folks know that true Christianity ... followers of Jesus Christ are in no wise advocates of killing fellow human beings.

Indeed, these days it would be most wise for those among us who continue to promote immorality and perversions .... to "Not Continue To Rile Up The Mean Christians" !

They may one day very soon well live up to your exceedingly nasty little expectations of them ... and clean house !

Past History indicates the very real potential does exist ! Christian Bashers keep it up and you may finally get what you wish for ! Thanks / Old Sgt. Lamar
